This project required the design of an over-60 active adult community from an old grocery store. The project was a short team exercise to examine the economic feasibility of a big box rehabilitation. The concept that the team generated was to create courtyard using the existing structural grid to allow natural light penetration. The existing single story building was also converted into a two story building.
